Surgeon Richard
A. Rosen, M.D.

Dr. Rosen graduated with honors
from the University of Texas at El Paso. He
received his M.D. degree from Texas Tech University
School of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega
Alpha. After completing his surgical residency
at Lubbock General, he began his surgical
practice with SWAT Surgical Associates. He
was one of the first surgeons in Lubbock to
perform Cryoablation of liver tumors and now
offers Radiofrequency Thermal Ablation (RFA)
of liver tumors. Dr. Rosen is certified by
the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Rosen serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor
of Surgery at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center
and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor.
He is active in the Covenant Medical Center
Trauma Service. He and his wife Kara have
a son and a daughter. In his spare time, Dr.
Rosen enjoys playing the guitar and spending
time with his family.
